The Serling Institute makes the
Jewish Studies minor
one of the most attractive programs for any MSU student! Why??

Academic:
30+ dedicated faculty members who are committed to providing students with an outstanding education and mentorship. Our 40+ courses span across the university in 11 different departments and colleges.

Financial Support:
We offer $1,000 scholarships for each semester you take Hebrew and $4,000 scholarships for study abroad in Israel!

Career Support:
We have an engaged and growing network of alumni willing to connect with our current minors.

To pursue a Jewish Studies minor at MSU is to be part of a mishpacha – family! We offer enriching co-curricular programming with 20 events a year drawing an audience over 1,200 and co-sponsored with over 20 academic units! Make sure to register for our 15th annual Israeli Film Festival in March!

Personal Advising:
The Institute’s director, Professor Yael Aronoff and associate director, Professor Kirsten Fermaglich, as well as the whole Jewish Studies team, is dedicated to supporting minors and advising them all the way through their career at MSU.

Study Abroad:
We offer year-round opportunities to study and intern in Israel! Our Summer 2021 study abroad Israel is open for registration!
