Boren International Scholarships and Fellowships Information Meeting

Boren International Scholarships and Fellowships Information Meeting

The Boren Awards Program offers funding for undergraduate and graduate students to study non-traditional languages in non-traditional study abroad destinations. Students can earn between $8,000-$20,000 to fund their program, depending on the program length and cost. Applicants should have an interest in working in government or the non-profit sector; awardees will be required to work in a federal government agency for one year after they graduate. The Boren Awards program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is open to U.S. students enrolled in all degree programs.

By attending this presentation you will learn about the program, the benefits of participating, and the application process.

The Boren Award applications are due to MSU by January 1, 2021, after which applicants will be invited to interview with an MSU review panel and adjust their application essays based on the panel’s feedback. The Boren application deadline is in early February 2021 for programs that run between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022.
