I don’t have a cat, but I am an Academic Librarian. From Michigan to Québec with layovers at MSU, uLaval, uMontréal and McGill.

This talk will share with you how the B.A. in French Studies at MSU helped me complete the Master in Library and Information Science from at the Université de Montréal and ultimately become the Librarian for French Literature, Economics and LGBTQ+ Studies at the McGill University Library. I will also discuss the reasons as to why I am not allowed to have a cat, why I chose the profession of librarianship and how the French language has helped open doors for me that have taken me all across Québec, Canada, and France and has helped me develop a professional reputation across la Francophonie.

The presentation will be followed by a small luncheon provided by the Department of Romance and Classical Studies.
