Language, Culture & Service in Puerto Rico Info Session @ B443 Wells Hall

Language, Culture, and Service in Puerto Rico is a study away program designed for students who have completed SPN 202 or its equivalent.  During this program, students will spend three weeks in San Juan, Puerto Rico, living in residence halls, taking classes, and experiencing life in La Isla del Encanto. Students will participate in a service learning activity and in a number of excursions to places like El Yunquerainforest, Ponce, and the Loízaaldea. Come join us for an exciting learning experience in Puerto Rico!

Are you interested in completing an internship in New York City this summer while earning MSU credit?  The MSU College of Arts & Letters partners with an organization that identifies customized internship placements for students in New York City in industries such as arts and culture, finance and advertising, politics and law, health and community services, communications and public relations, marketing, journalism, hotels and tourism, and many more.  This program is open to all MSU majors. The application deadline is February 18, 2019.

The World of Work: Career Exposure in London

Are you interested in starting your summer in London while earning MSU credit?  The MSU College of Arts & Letters is launching a new two week study abroad program focused on career exploration and global and intercultural skills young professionals need in the workplace. This program will engage with professionals working in a variety of fields, get a behind-the-scenes look at how workplaces operate, and network with MSU grads living and working in London—all while discovering London as a global hub for business, innovation, and the arts. This program is open to all CAL majors. See the attached flyer for cost, credits, dates, and more!

SAGA has partnered up with MSU Career Services to host a workshop which will allow students to deeply reflect on their experiences abroad. You will learn how to articulate your experiences in a way that makes them more meaningful for employers. You will also learn how to reflect your international experiences on your resume and learn how to talk about them in interviews.

There are a variety of summer opportunities available for students. Programs are hosted by colleges and universities around the United States and the world. They provide an intensive research experience on a particular topic within a scholarly discipline. For undergraduates with plans for graduate or professional school after MSU, summer research provides the opportunity to expand your professional network and acquire experience in an area of interest. In this workshop, you will learn more about summer research, the benefits of participation, and effective search strategies, including how to find and apply for opportunities.
