Come out to this storytelling event centered around learning languages and world/self discovery. There will be music, storytelling, food/drinks, and a chance to get to know people. The event will draw together students, faculty, and community members at SCENE (Metrospace), MSU’s expo/event space downtown EL on November 15th at 6pm.
Our speaker list already includes a mix of MSU students, faculty members, and other members of the MSU community – both domestic and internationals. This is a one-of-a-kind event so mark your calendars!

Participatory action research and the language curriculum: Practical and ethical considerations for the world languages educator
In this workshop, you will become familiar with the principles of Participatory Action Research (PAR) and how it can be used to build curriculum and facilitate pedagogical interactions among participants in the World Languages classroom. We will examine applications of PAR in the day-to-day operations of the language classroom and how it can contribute to student motivation and autonomy.
