Renegade appeals to the theater junkie and novice alike. The free annual celebration of all things theatrical features work by independent theater artists, and professional, community and college theater groups. On any given night, patrons may experience drama, comedy, or musical theater, spoken word, performance art, or improvisation. Each neighborhood of the festival will have its own feel and activities, expanding the visitor experience to everything these areas have to offer. Audiences can choose to spend an entire evening in one neighborhood, or travel district to district—with a visitor guide and map to steer them in the right direction.
East Lansing will be kicking off it’s programming beginning at 6:30PM on both Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18 at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum and 8PM (SCENE) Metrospace will host a performance by the Greater Lansing Ballet Co.
