Wharton Center is pleased to invite you to join us for a coffee-house poetry slam right here at Wharton Center. Come relax with coffee, soft drinks, and light appetizers as we listen to celebrated storyteller, actor, musician, poet, and writer, David Gonzalez. This event will be the culmination of Mr. Gonzalez’s residency with several schools in the community. A unique and one-of-a-kind artist, he has been involved in a variety of programs through Wharton Center, including multiple residencies and performing in our Act One Family Series. This casual and intimate event will allow attendees to listen to one of the finest storytellers of our time, read and share their own stories and poetry, and learn more about how Mr. Gonzalez’s work has benefitted our community and Wharton Center as a whole.
