Wondering how to talk about your study abroad or international experience to employers? This workshop will help you explain your international experiences so that they are meaningful to employers and graduate schools. We’ll discuss all the ways you can share your international experiences on your resume, and how to talk about them in interviews. You’ll hear experiences from students in Spartans Abroad Global Ambassadors (SAGA – study abroad student group), International Student Association (ISA), and Career Peers (Career Services student employees). Students that have studied abroad, international students, or students that have spent time abroad, may benefit from this program.

Prof. Stephanie Grimes will speak about “Incorporating 21st-Century Skills Into Museum Practices,”  on Thursday, October 17 at 6 pm in room S107 Kedzie. Stephanie Grimes is an Art Historian and Digital Scholarship Strategist. Grimes creates digital resources for cultural institutions, focusing on the intersection of digital scholarship and public engagement. Grimes is committed to increasing both usability and innovation within the arts
and humanities.

This talk is part of the Art, Art History and Design Visiting Artist and Scholar Series.  Grimes used to be the DH coordinator at Ball State University, but before that, she worked at the Getty and the National Gallery in DC.

Attendees will learn more about:

· Study abroad opportunities through JCMU.

· What constitutes an international career?

· The skills and experiences necessary for establishing an international career.

student with a great idea and a dream. The MSU Broad is now welcoming submissions for our New in Student Performance program! This monthly open call series features students—like you—as the MSU Broad Art Lab becomes a laboratory to develop and showcase your creative research.

How to Apply
Please submit a completed application and work samples to Accepted sample materials include: links to personal websites, mp4 video files, mp3 audio files, and still images. MSU FileDepot is recommended for larger files. Incomplete applications, including those without sample materials, unfortunately, won’t be considered. MSU Learning Abroad Conference (LAC) features presentations from students returned from international learning experiences and international students currently studying abroad here in East Lansing.  Since its inception in 2012, over 300 students have presented at the annual conference.  Domestic and International students from all academic levels—first year undergraduates to doctoral students—and a variety of academic disciplines have participated.  They have utilized the LAC as an opportunity to share their education abroad experiences with fellow students, family, friends, and the greater MSU community.  Presentations include a variety of formats such as poetry, journal entries, music compositions, video, and more.
