This premiere screening of more than a dozen cinepoems celebrates the collaboration of filmmakers and poets from the MSU Film Studies Program, the RCAH Center for Poetry, and other filmmakers and poets from across the region.
The primary activity at this event will be low-stakes, open house-style Table Presentations with “lightning talks” focusing specifically on Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and ed tech tools and practices more generally. MSU’s Center for Language Training and Advancement (CeLTA) and hosts Adam Gacs (German) and Shannon Spasova (Russian) will also facilitate several presentations that will be broadcast and recorded for online participants.
Please join the Creative Writing Program and the RCAH Center for Poetry for Live Lit, a showcase of undergraduate writing, featuring the work of Cassandra Bloomingdale, Madeline Bradley, and Hannah Ramirez.
The three readers will also engage in conversation about writing and craft with Romeo Oriogun, author of The Origin of Butterflies, published through the New Generation African Poets Chapbook Series. The event will be held Tuesday, October 29, at 7 pm in the LookOut Gallery of Snyder-Phillips Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
